TRAVELEX REMITTENCE DAY – 180 SECONDS

June 16th is the International Day of Family Remittances, which aims to raise global awareness on the contributions of migrant workers who leave their home and loved ones to gain employment abroad, to support their families.

In support of IDFR and to celebrate, recognize and reward the hard work of the millions of migrant workers across the Gulf region, the team at Travelex MET have been working hard to give back to this dedicated community. The reality is that they don’t always get to see their own families often, so Travelex decided to change that.

Travelex gifted three hardworking migrants with return tickets to their home countries and doubled the amount of money sent home by another two. Travelex MET team also prepared and distributed hundreds of iftar packs to fasting workers around the GCC.
